Producing unusual stereoscopic effects

I was thinking about developing a game that has some objects which appear on one eye, but not the other and vice versa. Is this possible? It seems like that would require tampering with the Oculus plugin. Am I mistaken here, or is there another way?


Check out the split post processing post in the oculus forum thread where we’ve been discussing using postprocessing with a horizontally split image to achieve disparate image views.

Unfortunately the UE oculus implementation is fairly opaque so the proper way to do this (say via filtering objects in camera objects as done in Unity) is not currently possible, nor are render layers currently supported.
