I procedurally generate meshes together with UVs using the fbx SDK. I also create UV masks as a 2d image (because the visible UV map area is not regular).
I’ve spent the last hour or so looking at substance designer videos and I get the feeling I should be able to procedurally generate materials like grass that fades at the borders of by UV maps.
I also get the feeling I will need to spend time learning substance designer in order to verify this.
So my question is does anyone think I would be able to use substance designer to do this and maybe write a script to automatically process each mesh or would I have to manually do it using painter?
