Issue 1: Rendering and Skylight Problem
In Unreal Engine 5, everything in my projects glows orange on high settings and more yellow on low settings, resulting in a reddish horizon. This issue affects every project I create or open, even those that were previously fine.
When using SLS Captured Scene for the Skylight, the glowing issue occurs. However, it disappears when I switch to SLS Specified Cubemap. Unfortunately, even with SLS Specified Cubemap, the issue can return on higher settings, and the visual results are not as good compared to Captured Scene. Interestingly, the problem seems to go away when I turn off visibility for the Skylight.
How can I fix this issue without reinstalling the engine? Is there a way to reset the engine to its default values as if it were just installed?
Issue 2: Graphics API and Driver Compatibility Problem
The engine has a driver-related issue where older GPUs and integrated CPUs/GPUs can’t use Vulkan or DX12. This prevents me from creating new projects because the window for creating projects won’t launch.
Currently, I’m using a desktop shortcut with -dx11
at the end of the engine name to force it to use DX11, which works, but the Epic Launcher still asks me to update the drivers. My system uses 6th gen core i5, 6th-10th generation Intel CPUs, which work with driver version 2115, but Unreal Engine 5 needs version 5333, which is for Intel Arc. IS THERE A BETTER WAY OR… ?
