Problem with Particle System in ortho view

Hi,

I don’t see or i see half of my particle system in othographic mode on my character’s camera . Everything works well with perspective mode.

I already found two subjects about this problem, and still no viable solution. Is there a way to play particle system with ortho view correctly ?

Unfortunately this is a known issue, for reference it is UE-3602, and is currently backlogged. I have added your information to the report and upped the Community Interest as well.

So I can be thorough in my report, are you using GPU or CPU particles and what is the Screen Alignment and Sort Order?

For the example I’m using :

  • Mesh data ( mesh alignement : Face Camera with roll ) Screen alignement : PSA Square
  • Mesh data ( mesh alignement : Face Camera with roll ) Screen alignement : PSA Square
  • CPU particle Screen alignement : PSA Square
  • Mesh data ( mesh alignement : Face Camera with roll ) Screen alignement : PSA Square
  • CPU particle Screen alignement : PSA Rectangle
  • CPU particle Screen alignement : PSA Velocity
  • CPU particle Screen alignement : PSA Square
  • CPU particle Screen alignement : PSA Square

all with PSORTMODE None.

In fact these particle effect come from a magic fx pack in market place. i didn’t create it !

I think problem come from mesh data alignement !

Disable “Lock Axis” module on the emitter may be useful
