Problem with linking Unreal Engine Installation To Epic Games Launcher

Summary

Hello, I had a big problem with my PC and it got fully reinstalled and reconfigured.
I have Unreal Engine 5.4 and 5.5 downloaded on my D disk so it was untouched. However my Epic Games Launcher was deleted. So i redownloaded it now, got into my account and my Unreal Engine installations are not showing up. I searched everywhere for setting to reset my Engine directory in the Launcher but with no success. I tried to install 5.5 in the same folder but it says “Directory should be empty” but still doesnt recognize i already have it installed.
Opening Unreal on its own works perfectly fine but I want to make sure there is no issues arising from this in the future. I want to relink them properly.
Thanks in advance!

Steps to Reproduce

Expected Result

A normal connection between Unreal Engine and Epic Games Launcher

Observed Result

Shows that there is no installed Unreal Engine versions.

Platform(s)

Windows PC

Fixed it up myself.
It turned out the Unreal Engine folders had become “unreadable or corrupted” because of the reinstallation. They clearly lost some of their link to Epic Launcher but not all, since it was showing the files as used while Epic was open, yet Epic didnt recognize the files visibly. I error repaired my D disk, deleted the previous versions and redownloaded Unreal 5.5. Everything`s back to normal.
