Hi there,
I have a problem this the foliageshading after upgrading to 4.8.0…do I need a different material setup post 4.7?
It seems to be a problem with the subsurface color…it looks the same as if you would just connect nothing to the subsurface slot
It only affects non SpeedTree Foilage
I upgraded from 4.7.1 to 4.8.0 if that helps to track the issue

Setup Foilage Material:
Doesn’t look like a subsurface problem. If you look closer you see the branch (which is a 3D model) is also shaded so dark. Have you activated DFAO ?
In my case it works:
-change the colour to red and check if you can see a difference
-disconnect the node at opacity

@Maximum-Dev: You are right, it seems to be releated to the SkyLight…once I disabled the SkyLight Actor the problem disappeared. I managed to fix it be setting the Skylight to moveable, now everything looks as it should, but I don’t think that it is intended to handle it that way.
About Distance Field AO, I think it is disabled, at least it looks like that in the SkyLight Actor. I’ve havn’t looked into this feature so far. I upgraded my game yesterday to 4.8 after some changes in the code to match the updated API. The lighting in the world is fully dynamic since it follows the cycle of sun/ moon
