I am very new to Unreal Engine and I’m trying to get acquainted with everything. I’ve created a basic map and now my quest is to place a laser, which will eventually have collision detection, but that is not important now. I found a tutorial for what I wanted here. I created the material and added the necessary components, but I am having an issue.
As you can see in this picture there is a slight difference in positioning in the preview, and I cannot determine what would change it to match the tutorial. It is not very descriptive in which properties to change in the material editor. I have reason to believe that because of this issue, another issue is arising.
The material doesn’t render properly for the thumbnail. Which leads to an absence of anything to see when I import it into the particle editor.
Any advice is welcome, as well as criticism. Thank you in advance, I look forward to becoming more proficient with Unreal.
