Problem with "Align to Normal" Foliage Tool

Hi, I have some trees made with SpeedTree.

The Foliage tool works just fine if I check “Align to Normal” the things is that I dont want the trees to be align to the normal in a hill for example. I wanted them straigh, so I uncheck the Align to normal and now the brush only places a few trees or even none, If I check it again … the brush works fine…

so… someone knows if this is a bug ? or perhaps Im missing something ?

Got a exactly the same problem

You have to allow the painter to now paint on an angle.

I think individual trees can be the only possible work around. Well you can copy paste trees to make groups and then copy those groups on to hill areas and adjust each one to meet its requirements right.
