Problem unreal engine 4 using Oculus

Hello everyone,

I’m trying to use Oculus with a game I’m making with unreal engine 4.

Everything works fine when I launch the demo of Oculus. But whether I launch my game or the
basic template by using the “play VR preview” button, a window appears and the Oculus remains off.

This window is all black but i still can play (move, jump, shoot). I can also hear the sounds of the game.

I use Oculus DK2, with autorun 8.0.
My version of Unreal engine is 4.10.3.

I tried to use UE 4.11.0 but when i launched my game with “play VR preview”, the window appeared and
it is not black (I can play normally on my computer) but the oculus’ display is still off.

My laptop is a MSI Dragon Edition 2. The graphic card is Nvedia Geforce GTX 780M.

I also saw that Nvedia graphic cards tend to have problems with Unreal Engine and Oculus.

What can i do to resolve this ?

Thank you a lot.

I may be wrong, so anyone feel free to correct me, but it was my understanding that Oculus Rift does NOT play well with laptops due to the Nvidia Optimus stuff. I thought there was currently no support for Oculus Rift on laptops. I believe there are topics related to this in the Oculus Rift forums. Maybe you could skirt around by trying to disable the Nvidia Optiumus settings if you haven’t already?
