that’s because of building the lighting on preview setting, just build your lighting on a different quality setting and it should disappear.
hope that helps:)
thank you for that it works but is there a way to permanently stop it, so the next time I work on a different proj it doesn’t come out.

You will always have to rebuild the light when you move an object. (because you use static lights) To avoid that, you can use dynamic lights -> set your lights to moveable
You can disable it in Show > Visualize > Preview Shadows Indicator. But as said, that doesnt change the fact that you need to build the lighting for your final product.
okay got it, thanks for the clear explanations.
Also I want to knw where the “Show” button location is at, cant find it.
It’s in your main viewport window in the top left. There will be several other buttons there as well.
hehe so noob didnt even see it, thank you very much.
Good info on removing the ‘preview’ txt from the viewport but it still shows in an exported render via matinee… I know one has to build lighting but i really want to avoid simply because I’m using UE4 for ArchViz… and changing static lights to dynamic isn’t an option simply because static lighting looks way better (distance shadows etc.)… does anyone know an .ini file modification that can be made to simply change (and thus delete) the ‘Preview’ watermark? In other words, if there is a watermark that is shown on unbuilt lighting elements, surely it exists somewhere and can be edited… it has to be a png alpha or something?! thanks mangs!
I have come across same issue trying out to build lighting and then will also try to disable the preview from show. lets see how things go on.
