Post Process on Local Player Only

When a trace is detected from the player to a pickup able item that item has a post-processing effect triggered via a boolean on that pickup object, however the ( listen ) server can see when the post process effect is triggered and I only want the local client to see that, I don’t want this or the variable which holds the focused item in the character to be passed to the server… Why is there no simple option to make sure variables are not passed to the server?

Your setup is wrong at some point, without seeing it it’s hard to imagine how to fix it. Because variables are not passed to the server, to do it you need to call rpc.
