Post process effects on a translucent material.

I want to have a post process effect on a a transparent object so that everything that i see through the object has the effect applied to it.

Here is an example similar to what i want in Bioshock Infinite:

everything seen through the tear is monochrome and has other effects applied.

Is it possible to do something like this?

I figured it out myself so I thought I’d post what I did.

In a material i took the scene color and then masked all but one value and then plugged it into base color. Then I applied it to a sphere.
