Since I updated to 4.10 my png’s have gone strange. For example … I created a color circle with transparent / alpha background, when I import it into UE the image is completely solid color, however the alpha still works. I’ve seen mentioned using TGA instead of PNG but I can’t export to TGA. Is there any way to tweak this in UE ?
That sounds correct, it should import the PNG with an alpha like a TGA would appear. The main difference between TGA and PNG as far as UE4 is concerned is that with TGA you can define what’s in the transparent space, which can be useful sometimes, where with PNG there is something generated there.
Before upgrading it worked fine. Switched to using TGA now, thanks.
