Plugin supply / demand. What do you need?

Hi, I’m here!

I’m a plugin developer known by the names Ferrefy, Seda145, and of course my real name (Roy Wierer).

Every plugin has its own specific functionality, so that they can be combined and reused in larger systems. The modularity and code quality sets them apart from products made by others, see my open source GitHub code for yourself.

What I publish can truly be reused in every new project you come up with, so that you don’t have to reinvent the wheel.

But there’s a challenge

On FAB, publisher visibility and marketplace trust don’t exist.

As a buyer using FAB, you can’t find exactly what you are looking for, even through the hundreds or thousands of listings. You are sick of low quality. Done with large frameworks you needed 2 bits from, and done with ending up writing your own plugin anyway.

As a publisher using FAB, There is no feedback. No user interaction, no analytics, no communication, no way to find you.

Through FAB I can’t introduce you or collect feedback

Some plugins that I made are naturally hard to find on an already crowded marketplace, because they upgrade core features of the engine (UI, input, asset naming), resulting in less specific keywords, although, the plugins are in my eyes essentials.

I can make a difference

I made a separate post on marketplace matters. I am aware of the state of FAB, the AI situation, and the content out there.

I wrote this post for a different reason. To communicate with you all, and discuss the overall supply / demand of Unreal Engine plugins. I can make them, publish them, as long as they get visibility.

Raising the question, what plugins do you need? Is there something you just can’t find? Products out there that (even when good), should be replaced (modernized) in favor of quality, modularity, c++ or other features?

Progress is possible when there’s a you and me

Feedback leads to development, leads to feedback. Instead of b*mbarding the place with supply, let’s talk demand. What do you want?
