[Plugin] Save File Editor - Edit .SAV files within UE

We have developed a new tool that will help you during the debugging phase.
With Save File Editor, you can now directly edit all .SAV files that you have created during gameplay.

Here’s what you can do with our Plugin:

  • Explore all .SAV files inside a directory.
  • Open and Visualize the .SAV file in human readable form during gameplay (updates instantly).
  • Edit and Save .SAV files instantly for debugging purposes.

PLEASE NOTE: You can only open .SAV files that derive from a class defined in your project (BP or C++). This plugin won’t let you open or edit .SAV files from other Unreal Engine games.

How to Use:

  1. Choose Directory: By default, the plugin uses the project’s save directory, but you have the flexibility to change the directory at any time.
  2. Open .SAV files: Browse through the list of .SAV files within a folder and its subfolders, then open the desired file by clicking “Edit”.
  3. Edit .SAV files: The plugin presents the .SAV file in a Details View, consistent with the editor’s UI. Any changes you make to the values are instantly reflected in the .SAV file.
  4. Delete .SAV files: To start fresh or remove a specific .SAV file, simply click “Delete”.
