Summary

Players who have the “Simple Build” setting enabled in their personal settings are unable to enter Build Mode or place structures when entering specific maps.

Steps to Reproduce

Go to Settings → Game → Building and turn Simple Build to ON.
Enter 1v1 Build Fight [Rezon].
Attempt to press the “Switch Mode” or “Build” keybind.

Expected Result

The player should be able to enter build mode and place structures according to the Simple Build mechanics.

Observed Result

The build menu does not open, and no building blueprints appear. In some cases, building is completely disabled as if in Zero Build mode.

My friend loses his pickaxe also.

Working solition i came up with (tested 5+ times):

1. Join ur game mode (islands/creative/whatever u play)
2. Get the bug, be a bit dissapointed, but don’t give a ■■■■ about it.
3. Pick ur loadout and go play without building.
4. Play currenat game for 5-10 minutes, do frags, etc.
5. After about 5-10 minutes → die and respawn.
6. Leave respawn area.
7. Builds should start working. If they don’t, make sure that u played for 10 minutes. and repeat from step 5.

For me it never fails.

My guess is that game doesn’t fully load on connect, and when its loaded, which might take couple minutes, after respawn, ability to build starts working.
