Summary
I was trying to emulate the ‘Stand-up comedy template’ cameras, where the player controls the live camera cuts using input triggers.
After repeating a series of sequences or input triggers, the player character automatically flips to the opposite side of the camera.
Also, the gameplay camera does not return to its original state after playing several sequences, sometimes maintains the properties of other camera sequences. (This is more frecuent in lego islands)
Steps to Reproduce
1- Create several camera sequences (ex. 3 cameras, 3 sequences, 3 input triggers) that capture the main player
2- Assign a sequence to each input trigger
3- Play secuences using the input triggers in random order (as if were the live ‘camera cuts’)
4- The player character will randomly flip backwards and/or the cameras will bug after a few seconds (even when using emotes)
Expected Result
Stable camera transitions, responsive triggers, the player needs to stay in the same position.
It’s just stable when recording a non-playable character or a non host player
Observed Result
The player suddenly flips backwards when facing the cameras, movement gets weird and it’s difficult to turn the player to face the camera again, sometimes a respawn is needed since it’s impossible to turn. Also camera properties suddenly overlap (ex. a non-moving camera moves or a camera will have another camera position)
I’ve noticed this ONLY happens to the party host player, this is probably a bug since update ver. 27 or 28.
In the ‘Stand up comedy template’ the recorded character won’t flip since it’s just a character skeleton and a not playable character.
Platform(s)
PC, Xbox
Additional Notes
This is very similar to the emote bug back in ver. 27-ish when the host player wasn’t able to view emotes in some cases
