Player is hovering 20 inches over all collisions

I keep having trouble with my collisions. Somehow one of my custom made rock’s collision became bigger than the whole island, preventing me from playtesting. That is resolved, and the collision previsualization shows all collisions as correct. However, the player is not touching the floor but hovering about 20 inches in the air when walking. That is true even for the landscape collision.

I am wondering if that huge, bad collision somehow still affects the way the engine is calculating the remaining collisions.

Any idea greatly appreciated.

AtAshTag made a bug report with a video about this the other day. I’m guessing that when physics is enabled, the FortCharacter is using a new/different collision capsule.

So I think that the floor problem you’re seeing is completely unrelated to anything you’ve added/changed.

Thanks for getting back to me. You are right, the 2 problems are not related, because my problem does not even exist. I just missed the fact that for some reason my island settings switched back to low shadow quality, which makes the player appear as not to touch the ground. Stupid, so obvious. I was still wrapped up in the mindset that my collisions were bad because of that huge collision I had on one of my props, so big, you would not see it in the previs.
