Major bug with collision and player offset

Summary

When playing and testing my new physics island i noticed a strange bug and it was hard to pin down as you need a 2nd account to visually see the issue. I will use a custom floor/epics own prop floor to show the issue. So the player character is offset from collision by x amount. Visually to the player themselves they are on the flat floor but this is not true they are in fact above the floor and thus causes an issue creating game mechanics ect as everything is out. This is more noticeable when running up a ramp type mesh and the player is visually above the mesh and all objects on the same ramp height. When the player stops the height changes back but they are still above the mesh by x amount.

What Type of Bug are you experiencing?

World Building

Steps to Reproduce

Just place a floor piece for best visual aid
Have 2 accounts and have player 2 stand on the floor and player 1 view the player 2 character

Expected Result

The player should be on the height that the collision is and not offset

Observed Result

Its broken and weird and causes a headache trying to create a game when you need very fine movement spaces

Platform(s)

pc

Additional Notes

I will share a video showing the issue

I will add i haven’t tested on a normal island yet but i will to see if its just physics related.

Please see this link

In this example it shows how bad the bug is on angled meshes. When the player movement stops then the offset is corrected so in the example the player drops back to the ground.

The player should always be at the collision level either on a floor/ramp ect

If i increase the angle then the player visually glides on the ramp again above the mesh collision.

The best repro for this is to enable test players on a physics island

Is there any chance this can be fixed for the next release :raising_hands:

We’ll get someone on this.

Thank you, This is a major issue trying to create a game were the player has to be on a flat collision surface.

Just to add this bug is only on physics enabled islands. On normal islands it works as expected.
