  2. Grant the flashlightto the player
  3. Equip the flashlight
  4. See how the flashlight do not work as expected

Expected Result

Player can use flashlight as expected

Observed Result

Player cant use the flashlight as expected

Can confirm this started happening on 9-10-2025 after the Fortnite v37.20 update. (screenshot provided)

The flashlight still works as intended in 3rd person but not 1st person.

This exact thing is happening to my map as well, does anyone know how to fix this? My horror map is now unplayable.

Hello! I created I private island code just for the sake of fixing this bug. My island is first person and has flashlights right in the spawn room so it should be easy to test.

FORT-971492 is ‘Closed’ as ‘Fixed’. The issue will be addressed in 37.50.
