How might I alter the view in the Oculus so the hands are below the camera/head view ?

I’ve also run into something similar when testing my game on the Rift, I have two sockets set up to connect the camera to. One of them is a third person style socket and the other is positioned to be used for a first person pov. When viewing with the Rift its as though the socket I’ve set up is being ignored so I end up lower than what I would like.
