Thank you @

I’m happy to partner once again with SideFX and bring Planet Alpha 31 to the public, this time at IndieCade Festival.

The game will be playable at the SideFX booth and it will feature a brand new & hot area. Ben Mears - SideFX Community Manager, Games Segment - will demo Planet Alpha 31 during IndieCade.
While the public will be able to experience Planet Alpha 31 at the festival, the game was not submitted to the IndieCade Contest, something we are saving for next year.

Hello friends,
Planet Alpha 31 is running for Indie of the Year Award over at Indie DB.

If you like my game please support it by voting & sharing:
Thank you,

Top notch stuff there, Adrian. Found your project via UE Dev Grants. Absolutely digging the look of your game. Looking forward to the release next year.

For someone like me who is just starting out in game dev, a game so visually enriching as yours can be something to strive for. I’ve primarily been an animator for about 8 yrs now, but I have absolutely no experience in coding.
Stumbled across UE which supposedly has visual scripting, and doesn’t require coding language knowledge, but logic.
Is it then possible to create a game in UE using blueprints entirely ?

Hi ,
Thank you for the kind words.
While I did had some experience with scripting (C# and JS) so far I’ve been doing the game with Blueprints only and I intend to keep it so. There are some things not exposed in blueprints yet like giving the player the possibility to change the input mapping so that’s something to keep in mind. Epic has a good track record of exposing more and more to blueprints and now that C++ plugins will be available there’s some hope that 3rd parties will cover what Epic left out.

Best,

Hello ,

We cannot wait to share with you the developments of Planet Alpha 31 in 2016.

In what country/city is that office? Btw nice looking game, looks really fun. Gonna try that out when it’s released!

Hi ,
We’re based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Thank you, looking forward to reveal more updated soon.

In addition, we had other several interviews that we make available here in the future.

Hands-on Showcase
We started the showcase with The MIX & Patreon cozy event on Tuesday evening. Check out this blog post from Patreon for more info and pictures.

It was followed by 3 days of demoing Planet Alpha 31 at GDC Play. We met many awesome people and got a lot of valuable feedback that will improve the game even more.

SideFX Houdini3D Presentation
For a few times during GDC Expo, Adrian held a short presentation at the SideFX Booth about how Houdini3D helps developing Planet Alpha 31 with a core team of two.

San Francisco
And lastly we had some time to enjoy San Francisco nice weather.

Greetings fellow developers.
We’re going to showcase Planet Alpha 31 at the Nordic Game Conference in Malmo next week, part of Epic Games lineup to showcase developers using Unreal Engine 4.

If you’re attending drop by Epic Games booth B1 and say hi.

I regretted not having the time to sit down and try this while at GDC, definitely looking forward to its release!

Hello ,
It has been a while. We’re working hard to make sure Planet Alpha 31 will be a special experience but wet took a moment to post this short clip marking our 1 year anniversary since the company was officially formed, and to remind ourselves to take a break and relax once in awhile.

Recommended to be watched in 2k @ 60fps

@JoscelinFrost: we’ll be there next year as well

Consider it a date then! Congrats on your success thus far and best of luck moving forward!
