I am working on a VR project with Planar Reflections and I just upgraded from 5.4 to 5.6. And yeah I know that Planar Reflections aren’t fully supported in VR, but they worked OK in 5.4. In 5.6 however, the depth of the reflected objects is wrong, which is very annoying. I didn’t dig very deep on why this happens, but it seems to be an issue with wrong eye offsets when rendering the reflection. I’ve attached a screenshot taken with the left eye in VR that clearly shows there’s an offset in the reflection that shouldn’t be there.
I’ve tried tweaking the parameters of the reflection plane, also tried enabling and disabling Instanced Stereo, but nothing helps. The flat screen reflections don’t have this issue. Is there any chance of a fix or a workaround? I really love my pretty reflections in VR and I’d like to keep them enabled, but this ruins them.
