Physics Control (RWBC) and Havok

Hello!

I’ve been trying to use the Physics Control Component using the RWBC node on our project and am running into lots of issues, even while using a default Mannequin.

Our project is using Havok for its Physics Engine and I wanted to verify if PCC was considered compatible with it and if so, if there is something to set up to avoid issues?

The issue I’m seeing is that whatever setting I seem to put in on the node, the character’s controls gravity is completely wrong and the character appears super heavy, breaking the pose entirely (even when using World Space controls that should respect the Animated pose)

I’ve tried copy/pasting the node and my settings inside a retail UE5.4 and I get the desired result, but doing so in our editor doesn’t.

Thank you

Max

EDIT: Of course, right after posting this I found the Havok Solver Settings in the Physics Asset, which seems to be helping a bit! Would still love some insight about working with PCC and Havok if you have any!

Steps to Reproduce

I’m pretty sure that you need to be speaking to Havok about this rather than Epic as its on Havok to provide support for these features

Hi Max, and thank you for your question.

Jalpesh is correct here in that we don’t tend to dogfood Havok internally, so there is no real work done in order to ensure cross compatibility unfortunately.

I’m sure Havok would be able to provide much more insight.

All the best

No worries Max,

Hi Geoff,

Thanks for the reply, that makes sense.

We will be reaching out to Havok for some additional help!

Have a good one,

Max
