phasing group - multiple import files - diferent materials

I have a Revit file with numerous phases already created within the Revit phasing. I’m going to use this work to create an animation in Twimotion showing the progression of the phases over time within the phasing group. I imported the global file with everything and have already formatted it as I wanted. But now, to work on the animation file, I need to import all the Revit views for each phase. I´m working with Smith data exports. I always maintain the hierarchy. But when I go to apply a material to a phase in Twimotion within the phasing group, it seems that the material is applied to the entire link for that phase, not allowing me to apply it individually by element or category. How can I get round this? I won’t be selecting my original file with all the completed phases and clicking ‘Hide’ or ‘Show’ to recreate the phases I’ve already created in Revit. I want to make use of this Revit phase structure, with the 3D views I already have. I need help. It won’t let me modify the materials across the various phases? The same material is always applied to different structural elements.

Thank you all for any kind of help

hello again. Just to let you know that I’ve sorted out the problem. It certainly wasn’t the best way to do it, but I’m just getting started with Twimotion. I’ll describe the rudimentary method I used and take this opportunity to ask if anyone has any suggestions on how to do it more efficiently and parametrically – please feel free to share. I had to delete all my imported files and create new ones, and when I went to import them, I had to select the ‘keep both’ option for the materials in the import window. I also had another problem with this method: whenever a new phase had more than one material, I had to subdivide that phase into sub-phases so that there was only one type of material per phase; otherwise, Twimotion wouldn’t let me apply different materials within the same phase, as it continues to treat the entire imported phase as a single material. This is clearly not ideal, but it was the best I could do to work around it. I think I need to watch some tutorials on Twimotion materials, as that might be where the problem lies.
