Performance Warning No importance volume found and the scene is so large

I’m not sure if I should post it here or in the content forum.

I create a new default map and put a landscape in it with the standart values.

After building the map i got this “light results” warning-message:

“Performance Warning No importance volume found and the scene is so large that the automatically synthesized volume will not yield good results. Please add a tightly bounding lightmass importance volume to optimize your scene’s quality and lighting build times.”

I don’t know exactly what to do, where should I change this, on the lightsource, the landscape material or on the landscape object and how exactly do I have to change it?

I got some strange small wrong shadows on the map too, see the pic. I’m not sure if this have something to do with the lighting warning I get

Go to your modes tab and select Volumes category. From there drag and drop Lightmass Importance Volume. Make sure it covers the entire landscape.

For more information check this documentation and this one too.

I put a lightmass important volume and adjusted the size to the size of the landscape. The light results warning-message doesn’t appear anymore, thanks!

About the new shadows I will make a new thread

I still have the black shadows around my map, but no error though

You can increase the lightmap resolution for nicer shadows.

How do we do that on landscape? I could just find out how on static meshes

You can select your landscape in the details panel go to lighting and increase your static lighting resolution.
