Hello. I’m trying to make a PC version of the application with UE5EA2, but when I run it, it only works on the monitor. Those. the image and position of the helmet is visible on the screen, but not in the helmet. The helmet just hangs the inscription from Steam VR “Preparation” and that’s it.
Everything works fine on HTC Vive. It was also checked in a completely empty project.
Used VR Template without starter content. Didn’t include any plugins, but Oculus VR is enabled by default.
Make sure that your OpenXR environment variable is set to use the Oculus Runtime. This software can help you do that: GitHub - maluoi/openxr-explorer: A cross-platform OpenXR capabilities explorer and runtime switcher with a CLI and GUI.
I’d also recommend you download UE5 Preview 1 instead of continuing to work in the Early Access version.
Oh, yeah, build from Prewiew 1 works, but not correctly. The control does not work, the error “layout for (controller type, checked on HTC Vive and Quest 2) is not selected” or something like that.
UPD: In VRPreview, movement does not work correctly, any attempt to teleport leads to the side, back-left
Are you creating a new VR Template in the Preview or using a custom project?
None of them work. It is not only my problem, I’ve seen the same reports yesterday
Could you forward those reports and also upload your output log? I haven’t seen any other reports of it and we haven’t reproduced it internally.
Yes, of course, here is a link to a forum post about a similar problem. They are telling about VR Prewiew, not about build, but I’ve the same problem in Prewiew.
Can you tell me how to get logs from the build?
