PC freezes completely

PC freezes few seconds/minutes after I appling r.RayTracing.Nanite.Mode 1 or during render.
This is not my first project and not the first year of using UE5, I know what a GPU crash is and reasons for it, and I wish I get an error or just crash, but it complete dead freeze of the whole pc.
It can freeze when it’s already started rendering and on 8th frame for example.
Never have experienced this kind of freeze before. Only hard pc reset helps. And it have never happend with previous versions of UE, only 5.5
Steps I have already tried:

  1. Uninstalling\Installing UE5
  2. Uninstalling\Installing NVidia drivers, both Game Ready and Studio.
  3. Changing to DX11 is not a solution. Most of the scene is nanite.

RTX 3060 12GB, Ryzen 9 5900x, 128GB RAM

freezes under full load are usually a hardware issue. unstable overclocks or unstable power delivery. so…

make sure everything is stock clocks, disable auto-overclocking in your bios. and maybe check with a spare power supply that has a higher wattage than your current one. what is your current power supply, btw?

be quiet! Straight Power 11 850W
And regarding overclocking - everything is stock, only thing I have enabled manually is XMP. But my guess I would probably get bluescreen if it is a problem with memory.
I am still testing different scenarios, and currently I was able render in 5k my old project converted to 5.5
What differs this project from the new one, I have descided to switch to substrate material in 5.5.

power supply should be good enough. you still gotta troubleshoot tho. run the ram without xmp or lower the frequency and test stability. check all connections if they are seated properly. includes ram sticks.

not sure how much the resolution influences stability. do you run out of vram? would not explain freezing tho. hmm…

i’ve got no opinion on substrate, currently. the demo map ran like crap on my (3060) laptop. should not freeze either tho. more or less just render slower.
