I started to test out the path tracing feature of UE4.25. The first thing I’ve noticed when altering the configurations in the post process volume is that the pathtracing samples per pixel defaults to 16384.
If I try to change the value (whether by using the slider or typing a number), it caps up at 64 and the process reiterates every 2 seconds or so (actually, the lower the samples the faster it reiterates). The only way to get back to a high number is to use the yellow reset arrow. Is this a known issue?
In addition, say I can live with this value, is there a way to display the pathtracing stats on the screen similar to the fps or GPU stat screen? I want to keep track of the samples and convergence.
