One thing to double-check in your export settings is that the Refinement and Max Lighting settings are enabled when exporting through Path Tracer. These two settings will only affect realtime/raster renders but enabling them will still cause Twinmotion to perform additional calculations during the rendering process, essentially wasting rendering time. If these were enabled, when you disable them, you should see substantial improvements to rendering speed.
Aside from that, you can further optimize rendering time by hiding any elements of your scene in the scene graph that won't be visible in your renders. You can do this on a per image/video basis to minimize rendering time per media.
Lastly, you could try reducing the image quality, either by decreasing the Path Tracer quality by reducing the Max Bounces and Samples Per Pixel, or by decreasing the image resolution.
Now the issue I’m experiencing is reopening the model after it’s been saved and closed. Twin motion has crashed a couple of times during opening. Is there an audit feature like Revit has I can use?
There isn't an audit feature like Revit has. If you could share a copy of your file, please submit a bug report at https://twinmotionhelp.epicgames.com/s/case-community-page and attach a copy of your crash logs and our support team can figure out what may be going wrong.
I received a notification that Twinmotion has a new release. 2023.2 On the Autodesk access portal, it’s not available. How does anyone get the download for Revit 2024? I believe a lot of the bugs I’ve been experiencing have been addressed and the latest release will eliminate these issues.
Twinmotion 2023.2.0 has not been released yet. That message was displayed in error. Right now, 2023.2 is only available in a preview release as part of the Community Edition. The official release is coming soon and will be available as a download option through the Twinmotion for Revit page once it's available.
For now, if there are bugs that are solved with the Preview releases that might help you, you can download and start using the Community Edition through the Epic Games Launcher. Once the full release is available, you should be able to convert your files to full release easily.
There are no special requirements for the 2023.2 version of Twinmotion compared to the 2023.1.2 version. The hardware requirements are the same for Path tracer, and for Lumen any DirectX12 capable graphics cards should work. Here are the current requirements.
