[Particles] Strange Ribbon issues (spaceship engine trails)

Hey Guys!

I’ve been working for a little while on a space sim and have been struggling with 1 aspect of the particle systems: The Ribbon Emitters.

What I’m trying to achieve is that classic engine trail effect being left behind the ship, examples:


I’ve played with many (I feel like all but I honestly hope I have missed something) of the options in Ribbon Emitters, however this is what I am getting:

EDIT: To clarify, the Ribbon starts at the engine when I’m moving slowly and starts to move away and look strange (very jagged) once I get a little speed.

Any suggestions or thoughts on a fix / alternative way to implement such an effect?

I have issues achieving that effect, seeing the date of this post crushed my hopes in finding help :frowning:
