I created a character in Maya using the Advanced Skeleton plugin and tried to import it into UE5 with FBX. However, I encountered a problem where some bones are misaligned.
As shown in the image below, Spine4_M’s position in Maya.
But in UE5, Spine4_M overlaps with Spine3_M, which results in incorrect animation.
I attempted to fix the issue. When I select the skeleton and any one model in Maya, the UE result matches Maya’s. If I randomly select a few models, the result matches Maya sometimes. The Higher count of selected model is, the harder UE’s result match to Maya’s, which leads me to suspect the problem might be related to the models.
However, I’m unsure where exactly the issue lies. I’ve also tried deleting the namespace (prefix), but the result remains the same as described.
