"Parallax Occlusion Mapping" Node not working in Unreal Engine 5.1 and Above

Hello,
unfortunately I had to discover yesterday that the “ParallaxOcclusionMapping” Node in the Material Editor in Unreal Engine 5 does not work.
I tried it in 5.1.1 and in the latest 5.3.2 without success.
I also tried it in 4.27.2 and it worked without any problems. So yeah…
I also saw some YouTube videos about this node and people in the comments saying things like “Does it no longer work in Unreal Engine 5?”
I’m not entirely sure if the Unreal Engine Team will fix this bug, since it wasn’t fixed from 5.1.1 to 5.3.2 and they now announced/released “Substrates” and maybe the priority now goes to that? .
So is there somehow a way to fix this yourself via the Engine’s source code? I absolutely need this node…

Currently having the same issue. Been stuck for days just trying to make a rug using POM. Whenever i connect the POM to the texture sampler, the VT just goes black. I don’t know why this keeps happening
