Okay, so to begin, the issue in question happens in the “Train Sim World 5 Editor”. It uses Unreal 4.26, and I know they implemented some changes to the shaders. In any case, I’m trying to create a POM material for some track ballast. Here’s the material setup:
Pretty standard, nothing special in it. Followed the UE4 tutorial. Here’s what it looks like in the Material Editor Viewport:
Looks perfectly fine, as it should, however when you use it inside the actual world, this is what happens:
Whenever looking at it from sharper angles, the surface looks like it’s floating on top of itself. It’s hard to describe. I’m pretty sure this has something to do with their TOD system and it’s lighting. Their own materials use POM for track ballast as well, and they look perfectly fine. I would appreciate any and all input as at this point I’m just clueless as to what to do.
