That was quite depressing…
As for Paragon, dunno, judging from the characters it could be a GoW with extra abilities…meh not interesting.

I’m just wondering how they get that level of quality on the character’s body/face material - it seems like it’d have to be using 4k maps. At least, I find that 2k does not do the trick and results in muddy faces.
Does anybody know any single-player game focused on narrative out there?
With a deep complex storyline at the level of the Star Wars movies, Lord of the Rings saga (LotR games sux btw), Chrono Cross from the PS1, Final Fantasy 12 on PS2, etc…
I simply fail hard to find a new game with long complex stories like that, the hook for my particular taste. The more complex story the better, I don’t even fully understand FF12 or CC’ stories today, but I’d like to play something new and I can’t find anything. I’m kinda tired of this multiplayer, shooter, social game, moba bs.
Oh, and the less cliches the better too:

Singleplayers are oudated. At least I can’t play them more than 30 mins and get bored to death.
And yes. I couldn’t care less for story in games. Honestly I don’t even understrand why some games have some forced background story to explain something.
For me explanation that this is good game mechanics is good enough ;p.
To be honest, I don’t care much about that.
I grew up reading and drawing comics which is all about epic stories, got hooked by games and moved my interests on. But games had great storylines that time.
If I could guess back that games would turn into a “mechanics is everything” + “skill is all that matters” thing, I don’t know.
I hope stories come back to gaming someday. Telltale games have cool stuff, but shallow and short. Metal Gear has infinite dialogs, but most of the time it’s nothing interesting to follow, they just talk and talk… So I’m kinda lost on this search.
From what I hear, Knights of The Fallen Empire is a return to KoTOR I and II storytelling from Bioware. You may like that. It’s on the wheels of an mmo, but it’s a strictly singleplayer experience.
I think your onto something with that
I think it will be something quite similiar to Overwatch.
For people under 20 maybe, but genres don’t get outdated. You don’t see many good singleplayer story driven games out there because big have chosen the easiest way to profit by making dumb games that suits the young generations of today.
Good game mechanics games with no storyline are called Arcade games.
And RTS, FPS, TPS, etc.
so are multiplayer games.
They are pretty much just as old as the FPS.
Witcher 3, Fallout 4, both extensive singleplayer games.
Witcher 3 has a bit of story line but is basically a magic version of MGS, lol Fallout 4 is a sandbox…
Wow. Just wow.
I’m enlightened by your reasoning. Next time try adding something to the discussion instead of replying just for replying.
Next character reveal is up. Since the final reveal is set for December 3rd, I bet we’ll see the premiere of the announcement trailer during the game awards show

I bet it is a farming simulator.
The female looks like a potatofarmer, for me.
I signed up for Fortnite Alpha very long time ago, several months ago, no any answer, and since those days I’m unsuccessful waiting to see it. Perhaps Epic does not want me to see it :(:(:(. So it’s difficult to speculate about something seen through wonderful well-designed teasers.
And Epic farming simulator?
That would be EPIC!
A Massively multiplayer online role-playing game?
Maybe a sandbox thing, merging Skyrim with Unreal Tournament.
