For testing purposes our nightly builds are cleanly built, and this means that some of the metadata in the .pak files is always slightly out of alignment with the previous day’s build (as far as we can tell), which causes the entire pak file to be misaligned and effectively triggers the whole OVR upload utility to throw the whole file up as new onto Oculus servers, instead of a reasonable patch, the difference between ~500Mb and 9.7Gb.
Alternative platforms seem to handle this well, but Oculus does not.
What can be done to resolve this? I don’t want to spend three hours uploading what is essentially the same data each day, and for sure our testers won’t want to download 10 Gb of data every day.
