Sorry for the delay guys! I’ll get back to you very shortly! Here is the third out of the four new sci-fi crates I am making!

These crates are the first of a series of props for my project that Alireza has for me and I’m very very happy with them. He is really good to work with, he gets what I’m trying to achieve and I plan to use him in the future.

I’m almost hesitant to tell you guys about him so I can reserve him only for myself

Once I have first series of props I’ll post some ingame video so you can all see the results.

how much would you charge for human character? low poly

Sent you a PM!

Excellent work! I love me some PBR textures.

A tier system makes sense - obviously, how much someone pays is proportional to how much time you can put into it. And time = detail, stands to reason.

For learning PBR in a practical way I would recommend grabbing the dDo public beta. All the included materials are scanned with the correct values and are good as a reference, if nothing else. But also, it will let you texture assets insanely fast and produces much better results than Substance Designer in my experience. As an example, everything I’ve made for Grindstone so far was textured in a few hours. The only downside is it’s a bit buggy with the Unreal Engine workflow (i.e. using Metalness), but they’re working on it.

Thank you for the quick tip ! Downloaded the dDO public beta and am experimenting with it now.

Woot, is super useful for non-artists like myself. I guess I have a spree of texture/material converting to do soon. Thanks

Here is the second of the four wall pieces I am making for xrouter. I believe he is very pleased with them but you don’t have to take my word for it. I’m sure he’ll post his own feedback soon enough!

Hehe yes I am very happy with them, I’ve posted some more ingame shots with the new textures here:

Tier 2 - High-Res Geometry Practice!

Hey! I thought I sent you a PM, but apparently it didn’t because it’s not showing up in my sent items list… anyways, I wanted to know how much you would charge for a game ready character? Thank you!

Hello hello. You added your question directly to my profile rather than sending a private message. I’ll shoot you a message privately very soon!

Oh, haha! My bad! Lol thanks!

I’m officially completely booked now and will be so for the near future. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with you. You keep a roof over my head.

If you’re advertising freelance art services using other people’s art content really isn’t a good idea. If you’re only posting to show the model you’ve made for it, you should make that absolutely clear.

My humble apologies! I stated as practice for my Tier 2 level assets. It’s not commissioned work. I made the wall working with a tutorial that was teaching me how to make geometry from textures. Thought I’d post it up anyway to show that I was working to improve myself. But you’re right and in the future I will have to be more transparent about the work I’m showcasing.

I only posted it up because according to the noncommercial license on Game Textures I AM allowed to use their art asset towards my portfolio (which is basically what I’m using thread as).

All art content is my own!

I would like to add to I’ve been making basic models in zbrush (high poly stuff I can whip up in minutes). Then wanting him to make a low poly(game ready) version textured and uvd. He’s always been able to pull off what I’m looking for, including shapes I wanted to be pretty close to exactly the same shape. guy is top notch.

Thanks for backing me up crumbaker. It means a lot.
