Hi,
I’ve been using the VR Preview play mode in Unreal Engine 5.1 to inject the VR camera into the default desktop first-person controller to view my level in VR. Instead of using the default VR controller, I prefer using the traditional desktop first-person controller as it allows for continuous movement and jumping, without having to add those functionalities to the VR controller, which I don’t have sufficient knowledge to do at the moment. Yes, I don’t care for motion controllers for now.
Unfortunately, the performance of the editor while playing in VR Preview mode is not good, and I would like to compile the levels to have better performance when running them. I’d like to know if it’s possible to package or build projects with the VR Preview mode. While I know that maybe it’s a mode specific to the editor, I’d like to know if there is any way to have this, even if it’s considered rare or niche.
Thank you very much and kind regards.
