Look I understand if you don’t like my attitude. I have no ill-will against you or thankstipscom nor do I think I’m better than anyone here. But I’m also not going to hold my tongue out of fear for losing a dollar. That would mean selling myself out and I have way too much pride to do that. I hope you would respect me for such.
Maybe thankstipscom is right. But he has been expressing his opinion by being incredibly self-defensive about accepting any discussion of how much of a poor opinion he cast. How it comes across is that he isn’t looking for discussion about his opinion as much as he is looking for ways in which his opinion can be incorporated. He wants prices slashed. He wants easy access to marketplace assets. And so I discussed this opinion. I did so fairly. But instead of defending HIS OPINION he defended HIS RIGHT TO HAVE HIS OPINION. Those are two different things.
His opinion is fair game for debate. But no one ever contested his right to have his opinion. No me. Not anyone else. The fact that I went after his opinion with a straight razor and sliced its jugular in two has left him confused and thinking that I must have attacked his right to have that opinion. I have not.
His opinion was a shell of a thought driven by a light wallet. But he is entitled to that shell of a thought and I will fight on his behalf against anyone who says he isn’t. But he needs to come to grips with the fact that if I say his opinion is wrong that that is my opinion and I am entitled to it as much as he is entitled to his own opinion.
