And if another tool company produces a hammer at $2k dollars because there is enough demand to justify it then that will happen. And, if there is another tool company that produces a hammer at $200 that is what will happen. And, it will continue to rise or drop based upon the value of the tool and the demand from the professionals who would use that tool. But yes, it is entirely and utterly without question that a producer of tools is allowed to sell their tool at whatever price they deem is most financially appropriate and NOT to allow the most craftsman the ability to access the tool. It is NOT the producer of the tool’s interest that everyone has a hammer. It IS the producer of the tool’s interest to maximize their profits.
This is business. Maybe everyone who is complaining hasn’t had to do any greater responsibility than sit in a dorm room paid for by grants, parents, and financial aid. But people and especially businesses have financial responsibilities. No one should be compelled to infringe upon their own financial security for your personal enjoyment.
