Since maybe v42.0 the outliner no longer organises or sorts in alphabetical order correctly. This makes organisation and optimisation far more difficult than it used to be, as the outliner is mixed up.

What Type of Bug are you experiencing?
UI/Tools
Steps to Reproduce
Create a new project
Drag dozens of different named assets into the world
Duplicate the assets so you have thousands of object in the scene
Objects may need to be put in folders and sub-folders to see bug
Expected Result
The outliner should keep remain in alphabetical order (or the sort priority specified at the top of the outliner, by clicking on the top bar).
Observed Result
The outliner becomes a jumble and random list of objects in no particular order, with numerical values also being in no particular order.
I recreated the bug using the 5 primitives available by default. Up to 10,000 assets the sorting was okay, above 10,000 once you submit to revision control/or close and restart UEFN some of the assets are out of order, but the effect becomes like in the screenshot above when you reach 20,000+ assets. Maybe this occurs at lower values, but certainly above 20,000 when restarting the application.
Drag out 5 primitive types (cube, sphere, cylinder, cone, plane)
Duplicate up to 20,000+ instances
(5. Check-In to revision control)
Save & Close UEFN
Open Project
Upon reopening, at least for me, the sorting in the outliner is broken. This is the same situation (with similar levels of actors) as my active project.
My Discord account is very old and was made before they put a friend count restriction in place, so I can’t add friends. Could you either send me a message request there or send me a DM here?
