Orthographic vertical export scale

Hi,
I’m trying to export a vertical georeferenced orthographic image.
This works fine, but RealityCapture won’t let me export the coordinate system.
In Qgis I can manually set it to the correct one again. Is this commen behaviour? The project and export settings both are in the same coordinate system.
Also, is it possible to export a scalebar with the orthographical image? RealityCapture gives a unitscale in the application itself. it would be nice to be able to export it aswell.

Is your project georeferenced? If so, it should be possible to export the ortho is the used system. But for side orthos there could be some issues with positioning, as the height is mostly important here.

Ortho Projection not in scale

Hello, according to the TFW file it seems like you are exporting the side ortho. Is that right? I suppose your model is georeferenced. What is the expected height in the model’s area? Is it about 93 m ASL? When you are placing the reconstruction region before ortho creation, do you have set the upper left corner as reference one? It is not possible to export the scale bar with the ortho.

Thx for the reply. Every export I make of a georeferenced model gives the CRS error, maybe I am missing some settings? I’ll test some more.
Too bad the export of the scalebar isn’t possible. I;m using it for archaeology and hertitage documentation. It would be very handy to get usable data in the field. Like a quick export of the side profile, where you can add your documentation. Right now i’m trying to write a script which replicates the realitycapture ortho viewer. So we can take measurements on the profiles.

Which coordinate system are you using? Only the GPS’s system is written to the ortho directly. In other cases you need to set the proper system manually in QGIS (so I suppose that is the reason for the error).

I can add it as a feature request to our database.

I’m using 28992 (Amersfoort new RD)
For the regular flat orthographic images it’s not a problem.
Also the vertical profiles work ( you see a thin polygon on the map)
To make an app which let you measure the vertical ortho I think I only need the left and right coordinate of the image. Then I can probably calculate the vertical axis. And do some measurement. These coordinates are not written on the file itself?

I suppose there is solved the same issue as you have.
I suppose the mentioned coordinates are not written there.
