Hey guys! I’m relatively new to VR development. I made a basic game for the Vive and am using a motion controller’s “face buttons” as a d-pad for movement. HMD tracks where i’m looking in game, but if i look in one direction, my d-pad no longer corresponds to Up Down Left Right properly. Ex: When gazing right, my Up button now moves me left. Is this a normal VR kink or What options do I have for a better user experience?
Sounds like perhaps your characters rotation is not following your hmd.
Try with using “use control rotation” on your camera settings.
