Summary

The crash happens when opening animation sequences made through “create linked Animation Sequence” and “bake animation sequence”. animation sequences made through metahuman performances seem to be unaffected.

This problem is also present in other projects, not just the one I’m working currently

Steps taken so far to resolve this issue. Updated Nvidia driver to the latest version and verified the uefn installation.

FORT-866008 has been created and its status is ‘Unconfirmed’. This is now in a queue to be reproduced and confirmed.

I have the same issue.
In our case it happens with animation sequences that have been retargeted to Fortnite skeleton using an IK Retargeter.

Original sequence opens fine, retargeted sequence crashes.

Additional notes:

  • Some of our sequences are quite old, and used to open fine a few months ago
  • These sequences load perfectly fine in-game (with PlayAnimationController)

Also on Windows 11.
