Steps to Reproduce

Hold U and click within a material. Connect the to a component mask on R, then to one-minus node, and preview that node. Do the same in both UE5 and UEFN and see the difference

Expected Result

One minus is actually one minus

Observed Result

one minus is does something different, as if its also plugged to a power node as well.

Even if you avoid the one minus node and Multiply by -1, then add 1 (which is the same), you get the same broken result, which makes no sense

Hi Wert,

I just tried to reproduce this in my UEFN project and I was unable to.

I’m reminded of mobile renderers that use a lower float precision for gradients… (There’s a ‘Float Precision Mode’ setting in the material, but I’m not seeing any differences when toggling between them)

Do you have any settings changed in the Material? Do you also see this in other projects?

I am not sure whats up with this layout, but I cant repro this on a new material in UEFN, not sure how I managed to do this, but it has happened to me before. Feel free to disregard ticket, will just leave it for reference in case someone bumps into it.

The solution is to have the UV scale be equal for it to work.
