hi ! i just would like to know if DK1 is still compatible with 4.4.3 because i tryed to make it run with realisting rendering or couch vr but nothing happen ! thanks
Hi,
The Oculus DK1 should work with the 4.4.3 engine version but may require you to use a specific driver from the Oculus site. Can you tell me which version of the driver you’re currently using?
Thank you!
4.4.3 Broke DK1 functionality for me as well. Where do I find what driver version I’m using?
Did a Windows 64 devolopment build of the default 1st person blueprint level in 4.3.1 and as soon as I run it fullscreen, it sees the rift and everything works fine. I do the exact same thing with 4.4.3 and when I go fullscreen it just goes fullscreen on my monitor. It doesn’t see that there is a DK1 connected.
Ok I installed the latest Oculus sdk and runtime versions and now it seems to work, although the framerate has dropped significantly in 4.4.3 with a build that uses the same settings as 4.3.1. For example the realistic rendering using FXAA and disabling SSR, I’m getting about 20 FPS vs a solid 60 in 4.3.1 using a GTX 770…
We are focusing on making everything more compatible and run better with the Oculus right now. Until we can get some changes made to make the experience better, could you please try the settings described here:
Let me know if those help at all. There are long term solutions on the way.
