Oculus Air Link on Quest 2

Quest 2:
When ever I run UE4 and connect with the Oculus Air Link, the Oculus App is trying to launch the Unreal Editor.

This thing “kills” the performance. Isn’t there any way to prevent the Oculus App from launching or loading the Unreal Engine?

Thanks for any info on this.

Is Steam VR running aswell?

yes, Steam is so far running much better than my tests with the Oculus App.
I have no issues using Steam.

Hope that helps,
cheers

You cant have both. You need to disable Steam VR in your plugins

Hmm… what you mean you can’t have both?
If I would like to create a VR experience, then I would like to deploy it for both.

Or you are saying, you need to deploy and package two different projects?
One for Oculus and one for Steam?

You can have them both enabled but having both runnings was causing my frame issues. So i turned it off in the plugins. It could have been because I also had a vive plugged in, I don’t know. Iwould just have a branch for each platform

Also go to Oculus App Settings > General > Automatically Launch Oculus Home (at the bottom). Disable this. This is the app that kills performance. With this off, your Quest Link will act like 2015 era Rift with the white void and there is way more performance available.
