Summary

I am currently experiencing an issue where when I try to launch an edit session I get an error with the ocean collision. This has happened completely out of nowhere and I’ve seen another post about the same issue and error message but there weren’t any replies to it. I have tried replacing the ocean with a new one, changing collision options, everything, but nothing seems to solve it. The only way I have been able to get into a session without an error is by completely turning off the collision, which you can assume that’s not a option for a fix. Is this an issue on UEFNs side or is there a way to fix it?

Here is the error message:
“Found disallowed object type /Script/Water.OceanCollisionComponent, Referenced by:See below for asset list, Plugin mount point:/BBS4.
/BBS4/BBS4.BBS4:PersistentLevel.VK_Waterbody_Ocean_C_UAID_8091335DC95247AC01_1262136289”

Steps to Reproduce

I do not know how exactly the issue started, it was working and then it wasn’t is all I can say. But I have a list of things that could possibly be related to it:

  • I have a lot of spline points set up in the ocean to get rid of water in certain areas.
  • I have multiple water exclusion volumes in the ocean.
  • I have a lake set up underneath the ocean.

Expected Result

I do not know if these things will cause the same error as again, it happened randomly when I loaded in the other day. I’ve also tried deleting the things I listed above to see if the collision would work again but it would still give an error.

Observed Result

I do not know how to replicate the issue.

Additional Notes

Sorry that I could not list any steps to recreate it, but I was told to re-post my issue here.

I’m getting these errors too. Did you find a fix?
