Objects Suddenly Look Bad at Distance?

I have been following the “Your First Hour in Unreal Engine 5” (on the “Working With Visuals” section) and have been exploring LearningKit Games Showcase map it uses. Using 5.0.2.

The issue is, at certain distances, objects suddenly look really bad. More polygons, misshapen, maybe having some of the underneath poking through. And it happens at very near distances. As far as I can tell, the map in the video does not have that happen, and more, I was sure it was not happening to me earlier, before I changed some settings. Anyone know what is going on–if it really is an issue with my settings and could be fixed? I have scalability set to 100% Epic. I even restored all to default in Editor Preferences.

Hello gfrayramirez, welcome to the Unreal community.

From what you are describing, it sounds like you are referring to Levels of Detail (LODs). There are times when a designer such as yourself will need to adjust or create them. Here is some cool documentation on LODs.

I hope this information is helpful.
