Are you working in a team on this project? Was anyone else in the edit session with you at the time.
I had it recently where me and a friend were working on a map together, and when I deleted one item, the game would delete about 20 other objects near it despite neither of us touching those. For example, I was building a custom skyscraper out of existing fortnite walls and experimenting with different types of walls. I’d delete one wall and then half the building would delete itself. This happened to me twice before we stopped trying to work on the project at the same time.
Once previously I loaded into one of my projects to find quite a lot of objects had deleted themselves between sessions some how.
No i am working solo the project… its weird i never had this problem… and its verry enoying i cant work… cause idk what objects randomly getting deleted…
oh so if i use alot of normal BR builds there is a limit… but that applys with spike traps also? cause i have a problem with spike traps also getting deleted…
This has happened to me multiple times and the memory I was using varied from just a couple thousand to 15k, so not a lot. The items deleted have almost always been walls, and when it wasn’t a wall, it was when a wall was being deleted and other things got deleted with it. And it’s always a series of walls that get deleted. I’ve seen far more walls in a red vs blue map than I had at the moment everything got deleted.
I’ve been experiencing this issue since 29.00 and there seems to be no pattern to it other than the items being recently placed or moved since the update and it effects not just props but devices as well. At first I thought it was only happening to duplicates but this actually effects assets dragged from the content drawer as well. I’d almost say that this may be the result of issues with revision control given it seems to imitate a rollback of sorts.
The deletions do not appear in the Undo Log and creative devices that referenced them still retain the reference but if you use them to see the object nothing happens because it no longer exists.
It is reaching the point where I’m needing to redo the same work multiple times to replace what the editor has decimated. But what I have noticed is that it ONLY starts to happen when a session is active. I’ve worked for hours without a sesssion opened and within an hour of the session active you begin to see objects getting deleted.
